I work in film acquisitions and development, with experience evaluating and assessing screenplays within production and film distribution environments.
My focus has been on how material functions in a professional development context—how scripts are read by producers, development teams and financiers, and how they sit within the broader commercial and creative landscape of film.
The Script Collective is an extension of this experience, offering writers structured, industry-informed feedback on their work. The aim is to reflect how scripts are actually assessed within development environments, and to provide clear, practical insight into both their creative execution and their potential for production.
Rather than generalised notes, the work is grounded in how projects are received in practice—what reads clearly, what creates uncertainty, and what is needed for a script to move forward within the industry.
I’,m a BIFA voting member and have served as a mentor for the Glasgow Film Festival ‘Funny Features’ producer lab, Global Lab South and the prestigious Stowe Story Labs.
